An Inside Look at Kansas City Chief’s Super Bowl LVII Ring

Super Bowl LVII champions, Kansas City Chiefs have officially revealed their 2023 Super Bowl Ring, and the diamonds are out of this world. The players have each received a custom ring from Jostens in an exciting ring ceremony and red carpet at Union Station in Kansas City, Mo., and we have the inside scoop on all the diamonds, hidden meanings, carat count, and more.

In a post captioned, “ring fit for a kingdom,” the Chiefs shared the first video of the ring, giving fans a 360-degree view of the stunner, studded with natural diamonds. Featuring a total of 609 round diamonds, 16 baguette diamonds, four marquise diamonds and 35 custom-cut natural rubies totaling approximately 16.10 carats, this ring is fit for World Champions.

“Yeah, I’m very excited,” said Super Bowl LVII MVP Patrick Mahomes in a press conference on Thursday. “That’s what you work for, to win the Super Bowl and get those rings. They last a lifetime. To be able to see them, I know they’ve done a great job with them. I got to help out a little bit with the creating process. They did a great job with them. Tonight is the last night you get to celebrate it and then we’re moving on to the next season.”

“It’s unique,” added tight end Travis Kelce. “It’s one-of-one. There’s no championship ring like it.”

The top of the ring which can slide off and be converted into a pendant, features all three of KC’s Lombardi trophies, each football a marquise-cut natural diamond and the bases are set with 16 baguette diamonds, a nod to the 16 different players who scored touchdowns in the Chiefs 2022 regular season. The KC logo is dotted with 16 natural custom-cut rubies set in yellow gold, representing the number of total division titles that the franchise has won in its history dating all the way back to its first title in 1962.

50 diamonds are set in the arrowhead, symbolic of the 50th anniversary of the opening of GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. The red backdrop also features custom-cut rubies, 19 of them to be exact, encircled by 38 diamonds, representing the 38 points the Chiefs scored in Super Bowl LVII against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Inside the ring is a miniature yellow-gold version of Arrowhead Stadium, which has a full-color field set with Lombardi Trophies in the center, ranging from one to three Trophies depending on the recipient’s time with the team. The miniature stadium also pays tribute to Chiefs Founder Lamar Hunt with his quote “Arrowhead Stadium is my favorite place on Earth,” encircling the stadium.  

The left side of the ring displays each player’s name, more round natural diamonds and the of Super Bowl LVII can be on the scoreboard of the etched Arrowhead Stadium.

The right side of the ring is a nod to the Chief’s fandom, “Chiefs Kingdom,” a row of 10 representing the team’s active streak of 10 consecutive winning seasons, another marquise diamond atop the Lombardi trophy and the final score of the game.
