Tabayer is a brand that imbues its fine jewelry designs with meaning, blending sculptural elegance with symbolism. Now for the first time, a Tabayer men’s collection is coming, specifically aimed at the male jewelry wearer, marking a significant moment in the brand’s evolution.

The debut men’s line within their iconic Oera collection reimagines Tabayer’s signature knot motif through a modern, masculine lens. It offers a refined selection of rings, earrings, bracelets, and pendants in 18K Fairmined gold and natural diamonds. With the introduction of hard-stone pendants and special-edition pieces, this launch brings a fresh perspective to the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and spiritual symbolism.

To explore this milestone, Only Natural Diamonds spoke with Tabayer CEO Maxim de Turckheim about the inspiration behind the collection, the deeper meaning woven into each design, and what the Tabayer men’s collection signals for the brand’s future.

Only Natural Diamonds: How have you seen the men’s jewelry space grow and change over the years, and what makes now the right time to launch Tabayer’s first-ever men’s collection?

Maxim de Turckheim: We have seen a remarkable shift in the way men approach fine jewelry. As attitudes towards personal style evolve, men are seeking pieces that go beyond traditional accessories, embracing jewelry as a true form of self-expression. There has been a clear demand for beautifully crafted, symbolic pieces that hold meaning and presence. With men becoming more adventurous in their choices, now is the perfect time for Tabayer to introduce its first-ever men’s collection—imbued with ancient symbolism and designed with strength and power at its core.

OND: As the Head Buyer of Jewelry & Watches for MR PORTER before joining Tabayer, how has this experience influenced the design and positioning of the Tabayer men’s collection?

MDT: Having curated MR PORTER’s jewelry and watch offerings, I have a deep understanding of what resonates with our customers. When evolving OERA with a focus on men, we drew on these insights to craft a collection that is refined, sophisticated, and distinctive. We wanted to ensure that every piece in the collection seamlessly aligns with the growing demand for bold yet elegant fine jewelry.

OND: What unique perspective did Nigora bring to the designs, and how did you collaborate to ensure they resonate with today’s modern man?

MDT: Nigora has always designed with the duality of masculine and feminine energy in mind, which is why the OERA collection naturally speaks to both. The pear-shaped elements, symbolizing balance, have always made OERA inclusive of both genders. This collection continues that ethos, drawing inspiration from the men in her life and translating it into designs that feel modern, wearable, and timeless. Our approach ensured that we struck the perfect balance between creativity and commercial appeal.

OND: Why was it important to use natural diamonds in the Tabayer men’s collection, and what role do they play in elevating men’s jewelry today?

MDT: Men are increasingly gravitating towards diamonds, seeing them as a bold statement and a lasting investment. Natural, ethically sourced diamonds were an essential element for this collection, aligning with Tabayer’s commitment to responsible craftsmanship. The use of natural diamonds brings an elevated, luxurious touch while also reinforcing the intrinsic value of these pieces.

OND: Historically, diamond jewelry has been marketed more toward women. How does this collection challenge those traditional perceptions, and what do you think is driving the growing demand for men’s diamond jewelry?

MDT: There has been a refreshing shift in how men wear diamonds—whether it’s a tennis necklace, a brooch, or a statement watch. Icons such as Tyler, the Creator, Timothée Chalamet, Jeremy Allen White, and Bad Bunny are paving the way, inspiring a new generation to embrace diamond jewelry in a modern and masculine way. This cultural movement has encouraged more men to explore fine jewelry beyond the realm of watches, making it an exciting category to watch.

OND: Does this launch mark a permanent expansion into men’s jewelry for your brand? What can we expect in the future for men’s collections?

MDT: Absolutely. Our vision is to integrate men’s and unisex designs across all future collections. This year’s upcoming launch was designed with men in mind from the outset, and we are committed to expanding the men’s OERA line with thoughtfully developed pieces. Expect to see more innovation and refinement as we continue to build this category.

OND: As someone deeply experienced in men’s fine jewelry, is there a particular piece in the Tabayer men’s collection that stands out to you personally? What makes it special?

MDT: A standout for me is the WBLT1/2 bracelet—crafted in 18K Fairmined white gold, featuring a single diamond at the end of its curved design. It sits beautifully on the wrist, offering a modern yet timeless aesthetic. It’s an exceptional piece that embodies Tabayer’s philosophy of blending craftsmanship with powerful symbolism, setting it apart from anything else in the market.

Tabayer’s first men’s collection is available from February 17, 2025, on Tabayer.com. The collection will also launch on Mr. Porter in February 2025.
