Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are Engaged with a Natural Diamond Ring
Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez are engaged! Selena announced their engagement last night on Instagram with a series of posts captioned, “forever starts now” showing off the natural diamond ring and the newly engaged couple clearly in bliss.
The couple first went public with their relationship on Instagram in December 2023. Just over a year later, they’ve decided make it even more official with a natural diamond ring.
The ring itself is a stunner, featuring what looks to be a 3-carat solitaire marquise set on a yellow gold eternity band. It’s a unique natural diamond and veers off the oval cut engagement ring trend that’s having a moment this year. The band is not the usual dainty solid gold or pavé band that is currently all the rage. Thicker in width with larger diamonds, it certainly sets the design apart from this year’s trends. It only make sense that Selena Gomez’s engagement ring is a reflection of her unique sense of style.
With her recent acting roles garnering nominations for SAG Awards, Golden Globes, Emmys and more, she’s been a huge presence on the red carpet for the last few years. Selena always shows up to these red carpets dripping in natural diamonds from major Maisons like Bulgari, Tiffany & Co. or Pasquale Bruni.
She’s also worn natural diamond jewelry in tribute to her boyfriend—now fiancé—Benny Blanco. Early on in their relationship, Selena posted a wrap-style “B” ring covered in pavé diamonds from Jacquie Aiche. Then, on her birthday this year, she posted a few selfies wearing a pavé diamond “b” Gothic Old English Initial Charm from the jewelry brand Baby Gold.
Some famous friends have joined in on the happy news that Selena Gomez is engaged on Instagram. Taylor Swift commented “yes I will be the flower girl,” while Jennifer Aniston left her congratulations in comment saying, “HONEY! Congratulations sweet mama.” Even Cardi B chimed in with a comment reading, “waiiiitttt hold on.” Selena’s fiancé Benny Blanco also commented, “hey wait… that’s my wife.”
