In Saudi Arabia, storytelling has a long and celebrated history. The diversification and development of contemporary cinema has provided ambitious storytellers and filmmakers from the region with a new outlet for their work.

The Red Sea International Film Festival debuted in 2019 to help the Saudi film industry grow and to foster a cross-cultural understanding between participating nations. Since then, the Kingdom has drawn film stars, producers, and industry experts from all over the world to Jeddah to celebrate a plethora of award-winning and highly renowned film projects.

Cinema has significantly influenced Saudi Arabian as well as South Asian countries over the years, and natural diamond jewellery has often featured in those stories – both on and off the silver screen. It’s not surprising given the region’s long-standing appreciation for real diamond jewellery for the sophistication and grace it represents.

We take a look at the most popular red carpet looks from the Red Sea Film Festival 2022.
